VIRTUAL : Advance Floral Polymer Clay WORKSHOP - A 4.5hrs session

► If you are looking to learn more advance cane techniques to create more complex multi-tone floral patterns, this is the class for you!

* This workshop is only suitable for participants who have attended any of my beginner polymer clay workshop or have enough working experiences with polymer clay. ( Not suitable for participants who have not worked with polymer clay before)

It will be an intensive 4.5hrs virtual session where we will be teaching you the correct basic fundamentals to create your own simple polymer clay canes (e.g how to reduce your cane properly)

- The class size will be kept small to a maximum of 10 pax per session so to be able to provide close attention to each participant.

►PRICE : $128 PER PAX

►Virtual Workshop will be conducted Via Zoom.

  (Participants' video feeds has to be on throughout the session)

► The class will be conducted by Wendy, the crafter behind Why Not Clay. She is self taught and have been playing with polymer clay for 4 years! She loves making 3D designs on her earrings, if you love to learn more about how she does her work, this is the best opportunity to meet her and have a chat.

< WHAT WILL BE COVERED IN THE CLASS?>

1) There will be an in-depth discussion on how to create a good cane, the right way to reduce your cane with minimum wastage, and how to maximum the usage of the various cane created. (A beautiful Rose Cane will be taught in this class)

2) Skinner blend technique (Colour Gradient) will also be taught in this class to create multi-tone floral petals or leaves. ( will be teaching you how to prevent your skinner blend from expanding and also how you can minimise wastage)

3) We will also be sharing how you can use external embellishments on clay , and how to attach them securely on your clay pieces.

4)We will briefly touch on the following topics if time permits:
- A demo on how we can up-cycle leftover canes.

5)FAQS -For those who love to ask more, can do so after the class.

<Materials >

► Do note that course materials will not be included in this virtual workshop, you may wish to purchase the list of items required from your local craft store. Or you may consider purchasing our Advance Floral Cane starter kit (SGD $32) which will includes all the materials/ tools needed for the workshop.

*Once you have  purchased a slot of our virtual workshop , we will drop you an email ( within 3 days) to provide you a detailed description (with images) of the tools needed and how to connect to the scheduled zoom session.

► The price of our Advance Floral Cane Starter Kit  is SGD $32  (Shipping fees included) 

The kit will include the following items:

1) 1 x A4 size Grid paper work surface guide. ( Great for working with canes)

2) 1 x Square Cutter ( 4cm x 4cm)

3) 1 x Set of large dotting tool (4 pcs)

4) 1x Acrylic pressing tool

* Do note that for international shipping, it can take 2-4weeks for the parcel to reach you. we will not be able to guarantee that the kit will reach you before the virtual workshop as it depends on the date of your purchase!

<Items to prepare before the workshop>

(BASIC TOOLS)

1) Polymer clay ( Sculpey Premo or Souffle)

2) Work Surface : A4 size Arcylic sheet ( preferably with some A4 tracking papers but it is optional)

3) Precision Pen knife

4) Needle tool

5) 10cm Tissue Blade

6) Pasta Machine / Clay Machine ( Must Have for cane making!!)

7) Assorted Earrings Shape cutters ( To cut your earrings out)

8) 6mm and 8mm Jump rings

9) E6000 glue or Gorila Superglue

10) Ear studs

11) Jewellery Pilers ( Flat nose and round nose)

12) Oven for baking the clay.

* A detailed description (with images) of the tools needed will be send to you via email after your purchase of our virtual workshop.

Advance floral Cane making tools ( Must have!)

1) Pasta Machine / Clay Machine 

2) 1x Square cutter (Size :4cm x 4cm)

3) Large Dotting tools/ Sculpting Tools.

4) 1 x A4 size Grid paper work surface guide.

( we will drop you the soft copy via email. you will have to print it out on a piece of A4 paper)

Optional Tools (Good to have)

1. Jewellery Hand Drill ( For drilling holes to assemble your earrings)

2. Mirco Circle Cutters ( if you do not have a hand drill to drill holes, you can use this to create holes on your earrings before baking)

► The class will only commence if we have 2 participants or more, if not we will re-schedule the class to the next available session.

*Maximum no. of participants per virtual workshop - 10pax

► We do not accept any change of date, or cancellations after the slots are booked. So please ensure you are available for the class before booking . No refunds / replacement class will be provided if you miss the virtual session.

*You may transfer your slot to another person if you are unable to attend the workshop.
